Ode to My Mother for Mother's Day

I hope all you ladies had a wonderful Mother's Day and got spoiled cuz you each deserve it. I just wanted to put a pic up of me and my wonderful mom from Mother's Day yesterday because I realized we have no recent pictures of us together and thought Mother's Day would be a good day to take one.

I just LOVE this woman! She does so much for me and the boys day in, day out. I can't tell her THANKS enough or show her how much I appreciate her.

I can always count on her for everything - she is definitely too good to me and has always been such a support in my life. I look up to her in all she does.

Just some of the things I love about my mom (some of them are quirky/silly):

- Her laugh and sense of humor. She snorts when she laughs (I seem to have inherited that one.) When she gets started I end up laughing too so we are quite the pair sometimes. We can be quiet when we laugh (although it's pretty hard when she made me crack up in the temple of all places! And it was my 1st time there too!)

- Her accent and how she says some words wrong (She can't even swear right - not that she does but the couple times in her long life that she has tried, it comes out wrong. Just like when she tried to flip someone off when I was younger and gave them a thumbs up instead. :)

- Her honesty (she's not afraid to give her opinion and is truthful about it.)

- Her homeade specialties (strawberry jam, french soups for example.)

- Her unselfishness (She always makes sure everyone else is taken care of, has everything they need, etc. I wish she would put herself first for once.)

- Her french lullabies/songs (There is not one baby my mom has come across that does not love to be held by her as she sings her french songs. I love the song where the little boy picks his nose so much he has to take it away in a wheelbarrow. OK so that doesn't make sense but it sounds so cute in french, that is just the english translation of it.)

- Her unconditional love for me, even when I was a hellion in high school and didn't make all the right choices (those of you who went to high school with me know EXACTLY what I mean.)

- Her Testimony and strong Faith in the Gospel. It strengthens my own testimony. I'm so grateful to have her wonderful example in my life.

I love you mom - you are my best friend and I'm so lucky to have you as my MOM! Thanks for everything!
