Today was the day for Parker's track meet (he's in the navy blue shirt & shorts.) This is the first year he gets to participate and he was excited. Parker was signed up for the standing long jump, softball throw, 50 yd dash and 4 person relay. I missed seeing him do the long jump, thought he did pretty good with the softball throw and then he took 2nd place in the 50 yd dash and 3rd place in the semi finals.
Unfortunately they ran out of time and called it a day so the semi finals and finals were never finished. Who knows how those would have ended up and the poor kids didn't even get to do their relay. Kind of lame but what can you do? I hope they post the results somewhere (for long jump, softball throw, the races.)
Parker was happy with things. I think he enjoyed the socializing with friends and munching on snacks all day just as much.
Paxton did some socializing of his own with some of his cute little neighborhood friends and even got to run in the lollipop race with all the other young kids.

What is it about the British? They have got a great sense of humor - I have read a few other books by a British author as well and laugh my head off at the words they use, situations they get in, etc (Sophie Kinsella and the Shopaholic series for example.) I picked the book up because you recommended it and am most definitely enjoying it so thanks for reminding me about it awhile back!
oh I remember those track and field days!! I finally started reading again, just finished my sister's keeper and am 3/4 through certain girls!!! Did you read the new Mary Higgins yet??
Did you like the books? I enjoyed both and yes, I read the new Mary Higgins Clark and enjoyed it. She comes out with a new one every April so I make sure and get it for my bday!!
