On Friday night I was lucky enough to be invited to an elite "Breaking Dawn" party to celebrate the highly anticipated release of Stephenie Meyer's latest (and final) book in the Twilight series. We were all supposed to wear black, white or red as you see above with my friend (and spin buddy Gina), myself & good high school friend Sandra.
Here was the invite:

So we all showed up at my neighbor's gorgeous house around 9:30 pm & partyed until midnight (which was the time that the book released.) The gals that put the party on went all out, we were so impressed with every detail they thought of.
The yard was decorated so neat and guess what else - Bella's truck was there! So of course we had to pose in front of it and get a picture!!! All that was missing was Edward's silver Volvo.

We played some games relating to quotes from the books & who said what & in what book (I did terrible but boy are there some die hards out there who knew everything!) We ate delicious cheesecake with blood red topping, blood red punch, white & red mints.....you get the picture right?? As party favors we were given cute Breaking Dawn bookmarks, a CD filled with "Twilight" type songs (Leona Lewis' Bleeding Love for example) and these cute Vampire sun catchers. There was a neat "store" set up containing wonderful gifts in red, black & white. You didn't get to buy from the store but instead won prizes from the store. I won a cute homeade purse & a fun t shirt that says "I'm in love with a vampire named Edward, did I mention I'm married and have kids." They had some great jewelry items as well as you can see below:
Let's hope we are on the A list for next year's party when Morning Sun (Edward's version of Twilight) comes out cuz these ladies know how to throw a party - thanks Abbie, Shasta & Melanie for the fun night!

I am sooo JEALOUS!!! I am almost finished with breaking dawn and am ready to leave my house and family for Edward! looks like a lot of fun~ Any new "nights out" or concerts? wondering what is going on in your social life!!
Okay, seeing the pictures just makes me want to scream again with excitement! I need to get a copy of the picture that you took of the bracelets. Stupidly, I never got a good one of them--and I didn't even take one at all of the quilts! Dumb I know, but we were runnning around like a chicken with it's head cut off!
That is so creative! How fun. I finished the book last night. I loved it! I can't wait till the next one. I'm sad the story line is over, but I'll live.
I'm not really much of a reader, but when I got into these books, I couldn't put them down! I'm about half way through Breaking Dawn. Needless to say, my kids are going to be a little more neglected than usual until I finish it. I've got to say that I prefer Jacob to Edward though.
That is so fun!! I unfortunatley missed the midnight parties because we were in San Diego on a family trip. We were having fun too. But that sounds like it was an awesome party!!
