Where do teachers come up with some of this stuff? In kindergarten it was the "Kindy 500" where we had to make some kind of vehicle out of a cardboard box (Parker had a very basic looking airplane. You should have seen some of the fancy, decked out vehicles parents were coming up with for their kids, not this mom though.) This time it was an edible car race. I am so not creative when it comes to this kind of stuff - you had to use all edible items to make a vehicle that actually had to have wheels that moved, etc. You could use glue, toothpicks, and that kind of stuff to put it together. Well this is what we came up with - at least Parker was happy enough with it & those lime wheels did actually work so his car made it down the ramp. Parker named it the "one eyed Willie" (because it had a cyclops gummy eye - left over from halloween, sticking out the front of it.) I think our next "big" thing is the wax museum the kids take part in for 5th grade (by dressing up as a famous character & talking about their life or something.)
