The Fisherman in our Family

Fishie, fishie in the brook (AKA Salem Pond)
Parker caught him with a hook (& using a worm)
Mommy fried it in a pan (NOT - that thing is SCARY looking, I'm not going to touch it!)
and Parker ate him like a man!! (again NOT - but the neighbor who does like catfish gave Parker $5 for it!)

So last week Parker went fishing with his Uncle Brent, grandma and Paxton and came home with this monster. Ugly looking huh? None of the rest of them got a bite.

Yesterday Parker and Brent went fishing again and he came home with another one. Once again Brent didn't get a bite. Parker is convinced his dad is helping him catch these fish - you know, I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case. He's pretty proud of himself and comes home with the biggest grin on his face. It is neat to see how good he's doing when he goes fishing!

That's so cool! Way to go, Parker. Fishing is a lot of fun. I have good memories of going with my dad as a kid.

No wonder Parker is a good fisherman - it's been passed down from his Great Grandpa, George Fedler. From there to his grandpa, George, and from there to Eric and Brent. I honestly have never seen a better fisherman than my dad, Parker's great grandpa.

Marge -
That is neat to hear the history. I knew George liked to fish but didn't know your dad did as well. Parker learned everything he knows about fishing from Eric. He can fix his line, put weights on it, bait a hook, etc. He impresses me with all he can do & I know it's all from Eric who learned it from George who learned it on back. Hope you are doing well! Love, Rebecca

Nice going Parker! You are a great fisherman like your dad :) Keep it up. I am glad to see that he had so much fun. We still need to have him over to play with the boys.

Hey there, I checked out your blog after you commented on ours. I am glad to see you are doing well despite the circumstances. I love this blog thing, it is a great way to stay in touch. Texas is Texas, I still miss Utah.
