Halloween Rave

On Sat. the 25th we had a fun halloween dance party up at Brian's with his good friends the Gregory's. This is an annual thing for Brian and the Gregory's so we were excited to be part of the fun this year. Brian had some scary costumes and masks he had Parker dressing up in & scaring the other kids downstairs in the furnace room.

After eating some pizza, chips & other goodies we headed on downstairs for some dancing complete with a strobe light & fog machine going. We danced to things like Monster Mash, Dead Man's Party, YMCA, Love Shack & other fun songs. We all had props we'd dance with (guitars, devil's horns, pitchfork, etc.) Paxton loved wearing the mullet as you can see.

Every so often someone would open the door into the furnace room and yell "on yong" and Brian had one of his halloween ghost props in there that was voice activated & would make a terrible scream everytime we did that, scaring the kids. It was great!

Wild & crazy party gals - Shaye, Savannah, Deb & Madi (did you ever think of all the purposes a glow in the dark stick can have? These girls apparently did.)

Sweet pic of Morgan and the Gregory's cute dog Thumper (who died just 2 days later.)

We had a lot of laughs & fun that night. After dancing we shared some ghost stories. Shaye's were pretty scary and always involved a big, old fart!

At the end of the night we celebrated Brian's birthday - he finally turned 30!! OK, not really, as you can see from the pic here it was his 43rd bday, but age is such a relative thing. As you can see from the pics this guy does not act his age at all and I love it!!!!

No, he's not immature or anything like that, he's just crazy, fun, youthful and sexy (a little demonic & redneckish in this picture with Braxton & Paxton, but trust me, he's a hottie with a great smile & dimples & sexy, smiling eyes!!!) We enjoy so many of the same things so hanging out is always a blast, and he's always is making me laugh & smile. I could go on and on....

Hmmm...maybe now is a good time (and the first time) that I mention on my blog that he's the reason I have a sparkle in my eye & constant smile on my face (since so many have commented on my schoolgirl giddiness!) Yes, I have a man in my life and it's him!!! Brian has brought so much happiness into my life in just a few short months, I'm glad we have "found" each other. I love hanging with his girls (Morgan - 14, Madi - 12, they are GREAT) and my boys sure enjoy being around Brian & the girls.

So it's kind of a long story (but a good one) in how we reconnected....To give you the Reader's Digest version we were former co workers/friends at DTX so we've known each other for about 12 yrs, but haven't seen each other for about 7 yrs. Brian lost his wife in March (sadly after a 10 yr battle with Huntington's Disease), we lost Eric in May & we reconnected through a mutual friend (thanks Bartman) in July. At that time a group of us went out to lunch and then the next day he took me to the The Police concert and we have been seeing each other ever since!!! From these pics you should be able to tell I'm kind of in to him right? :) Yeah, I'm totally into him and not going to hide it anymore. So now you formally know the "mystery guy" who has been appearing in some of the pics on the blog these last few months. :) He's the BEST around!

Becca-I love your post! It is the sweetest thing I've read. You know, Brian hasn't been the same since he went to the Police concert with you either! You 2 both deserve the happiness more than anyone. We've known how great Brian is for the last 17 years. Our lives have never been the same since we met him. He is the neatest, funnest, kindest, most generous and sincere friend we have. You 2 make a great couple and we've LOVED getting to know you. We look forward to MANY more good times.
P.S. those pictures are something else...thanks for letting us party "Pratt style" with all of you.

I have to agree with Shar. It has been so much fun seeing you so happy, and hearing about how great the last few months have been for both you and the boys! I am telling you that it was meant to be! I think that Brian is a great guy and he treats you so well!!! I will forgive him for bailing on our Halloween party, but we need to get together again soon! Oh, and you guys make a gorgeous couple. You skinny little thing!

(Deb, thanks! I will pay you later for that endorsement.) At the risk of sounding a little sappy, I need to comment here. I could have never imagined such happiness in my life so shortly after the loss of Tanya in March. Rebecca, you have been the best thing I could have ever hoped for after that episode. Thanks for being so good to me and my girls and thanks for all the good times. (Okay, this is cheesy... someone needs to collect my man-card from me!)

I happy for you! My sister lost her husband in Feb 08 and I hope that she can find someone like you did. You look very happy. I guess you know by now that we are not neighbors anymore we moved out on the 30th of Oct. Our son Zach will miss watching your boys ride bikes and scotters around. I just also realized that I went to school with your brother Sam.
