This weekend the boys and I got invited to head down south to St. George with Brian & Madi to watch Morgan in a big high school swim meet. Of course we said yes, (I mean who wouldn't want to head for warmer weather AND get to hang out with those 3 at the same time?)
My sis in law Amber hooked us up with a nice condo with plenty of room for everyone so we were set- THANK you Amber!! (If anyone wants a GREAT place to stay check out Pelican Hills Resort in St. George, we loved it!) We got in late on Friday. Saturday morning we hit the skate park so Brian, Parker & Madi could skate as well as ride their ripstiks/wave boards.

Paxton rode his skateboard a bit & played on the playground the rest of the time.

After this we headed over to Sandy Hollow to watch the meet.

One thing about a swim meet is that there is a lot of waiting while you wait for your person to race (as you can see from this pics above) but when she did it was fun & exciting & Morgan ended up taking 4th place in her event (the breastroke,) as well as improved her own personal time by 2 seconds. (She had raced the previous day when we weren't there in a different event & even did better at improving her own personal time by 7 or 9 seconds, I forget which.) Great job Morgan!

Morgan has such a great team spirit & attitude, she was always smiling & cheering her team on. Their high school ended up placing 3rd for both the girls and the boys teams so they were happy!

After the swim meet we were able to do some swimming ourselves at the condo & enjoy the hot tub as well. (Paxton said swimming was his favorite part of the trip.) We spent all afternoon at the pool.

Here are the kids enjoying a good meal at the Pizza Factory.

Brian took all of us up to the Narrows & this was Parker & Madi's favorite part of the trip - hiking through the narrows, on the top of the narrows, etc. I enjoyed getting some pics of it but felt a little claustrophobic when inside the narrows.

Parker enjoyed climbing out of the narrows through this hole.
We were occupied on the drive down & back with music from TMBG, Trans-Siberian Orchestra, WICKED, Mama Mia (ABBA), Coldplay as well as a few of our favorite songs like "Shake It", "I Kissed a Girl" & "Hot & Cold." The kids also watched various DVDs. Thanks for the invite Brian, Morgan & Madi - we had a GREAT time hanging out with you guys!

Sidenote: One of the things that attracted me to Brian right from the start was his sense of humor. He loves to have a good time and laugh (and his laugh is so cute, it makes me laugh half the time before I've even heard the punchline.) I can't say enough how much fun it is to be with him!!!

I love the picture of us together sitting in the sandstone formation. It is especially funny to see Parker's head peeking through the rock to ruin the moment. The kennel thing was hilarious! Thanks for going with us! We had a blast!
Very cute pictures. Looks like you had a lot of fun.
You are having so much fun! Love the pictures.
